Four Achievable New Year’s Goals
It’s 2019, and you’ve probably thought about how to make this year even better than last. Am I right?
So many people commit to huge New Year’s resolutions that are nearly impossible to achieve. Then, they end up not reaching their goals. One suggestion I have for you is to not call them Resolutions and set some goals that are ACHIEVABLE this year.
When you do achieve your goals, you will be so much healthier.
Here are four perfect goals that are totally achievable:
#1. Hydrate with more water
Did you notice when you drink more water you feel better? Water helps your body to run better and can even help you to lose weight. Water is also great for your kiddos, make sure they are staying hydrated as well. Make sure that you don’t just chug it all at once though. Grab a water bottle and keep it with you throughout the day. This will make it that much easier to achieve your goal, and it will be so beneficial for your entire body. If your or your kids don’t like plain water, add some lemon and maybe a little bit of an electrolyte powder to the water. Make sure the electrolytes are natural and don’t have sugar in them. I like Optimal Electrolytes from Seeking Health or Ultima.
#2. Crowd out unhealthy foods
Unhealthy foods that are filled with sugar and toxins do our bodies no good. Instead of just eating because you have a sweet tooth craving or because something looks delicious, eat because you want to nourish your body. If you eat foods that will give you energy and help you to feel better, you’ll be on track for a healthier New Year and be setting a good example for your kids. So, start 2019 by feeding your family whole foods that nourish and benefit their body.
#3. Move more
Most people think of a New Year’s resolution as heading to the gym every morning. Although this is a great goal, it’s not reality for most of use due to our busy schedules. You do not need to head to the gym to move more. Even just adding in some walks during the day can help, get the kids out and moving as well. Make moving fun in 2019. You will feel so much better and it will help your kids get out some of that extra energy as well!
#4. Let go of negative thinking
Every person has thoughts that creep into their head. Sometimes we can become more judgmental and critical of others in our head, or even put ourselves down. I often see this is a bigger issue than people realize. Your body hears everything your mind says. In 2019 make it a goal of yours to stop the negative thinking. This will help you to be an overall happier person and will even help you to become healthier.
When you are thinking of your goals for 2019, I recommend that you start with an achievable goal that will really help you become a happier and healthier you!
I hope that these four suggestions help!

I suffered for years from fatigue, anxiety, depression, hormone issues, digestive issues and just overall not feeling like I felt I should. I thought maybe it was just because I was a mom and my kids had sucked the life out of me. My doctor told me I was just getting older.
I couldn’t accept that this was how I would feel everyday, I wanted to enjoy time with my kids, not dread them asking me to play with them.
Fast forward through many health struggles and now I finally feel like I am in control of my health.
It has been a long journey to get to where I am now but what I have learned is that the basic principles of health, are some of the most important pieces of where I am today. Understanding what your body needs to function at it’s best is one of the most powerful tools, it’s not some fancy, expensive gadget or supplement. It’s the basics that are important! Diet and Lifestyle can make a huge impact on your health and well being.
My mission is to teach other moms how to take back their health, energy and mood naturally. Empowering them to take charge of their own health and well being, as well as raise healthy, happy kids.
